Following the
U.S. Supreme Court decision in NYSRPA
v. Bruen, bans on ammunition
magazines should be nullified. However,
Washington and other states continue to
legislate unconstitutional prohibitions, so
litigation continues. In 2026, Duncan
v. Bonta and Gator’s
Custom Guns v. Washington are both
awaiting certiorari decisions.
DGS will
continue to distribute magazines by all
lawful means.
Pending the resolution of litigation, I consider all
capacity restrictions to be unenforceable.
